Raising Men’s Health Profile for Policy Makers

10.07.26 | Blog

Movember, whose mission it is to ‘change the face of men’s health’ is working with We Are Survivors to make sure that male survivors of sexual harms are part of the wider national conversation on men’s health.

You may have read from our Spring 2026 edition of Beyond the Silence that we are collaborating with Movember in producing a research survey. This survey will find out more about public ‘understandings’, ‘attitudes’ and the ‘prevalence’ of male sexual harms across the UK.

This project will play a key role in this important ‘changing of the conversation’ around men’s health, alongside topics like fatherhood, online safety, suicide prevention and more that Movember are responding to. Movember state,

“When the men’s health sector comes together, things happen. In 2025, Movember and Global Action for Men’s Health hosted convenings for Men’s Health that gathered over 30 organisations to align on the Men’s Health Strategy for England. Those rooms were full of brilliant people — researchers, practitioners, advocates and community leaders — each bringing deep expertise and a shared commitment to improving the lives of men and boys.”

From now until mid-2027, Movember’s UK and Europe policy and advocacy team will be convening projects with the following partners;

We Are Survivors – Researching the awareness and perceptions of male survivors of sexual harms across the UK

The Association for Men and Boys – Raising awareness of community programmes delivering change for men, celebrated with MPs at their annual awards.

Global Action for Men’s Health – Working together to raise the profile of men’s health across Europe.

Hub of Hope – As a men’s mental health data partner, supporting insights into how men search for gender responsive health programmes across the UK.

Institute for Strategic Dialogue – Partnering on our online harms work, exploring the specific risks and impacts facing men and boys in digital spaces.

James’ Place – Supporting research on place-based suicide prevention services for men.

Men’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters – Supporting research that highlights gaps in men’s sexual and reproductive health provision in current local and national policy in England.

The Dad Shift – Supporting research and media moments calling for increased paternity leave in the UK

UK Men’s Sheds Association – Supporting policy and advocacy work with grassroots, community-level organisations that deliver real change for men across the country.
