We Are Survivors are excited to be on the search for not 1, not 2 but a whole bunch of individuals to come and join our ever-growing team. In our efforts to ensure that NO male survivor is left behind, we are expanding and looking to fill the following roles:

Main Location: Central Hub – Unit 9 Brewery Yard, Deva City Office Park, Trinity Way, Salford M3 7BB (satnav: M3 7BD).

Other Locations: Spoke Sites – varies across Greater Manchester, current locations Include:

  • Trafford – Bluesci: Old Trafford Wellbeing Centre, Broom House, Broom House, 54-56 Seymour Grove, Trafford M16 0LN.
  • Tameside – The Anthony Seddon Centre, 12 George Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne OL6 6AQ.
  • Wigan – The DIAS Domestic Violence Centre, Rodney House, King Street, Wigan WN1 1BT. Salary: £27,810

About Us

We Are Survivors, are a survivor focused voluntary sector organisation that aims to create and facilitate safe spaces for male (including trans and non-binary individuals) survivors of sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation across Greater Manchester providing access to quality assured support. Our work is focused on developing ways for individuals to empower themselves to work through personal and sometimes painful issues, guided and supported by our trauma-informed team, following the trauma and recovery model.

About the Roles

Social Worker

You’ll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications, supporting in relationship management across the partnership. As well as working with partners like Pennine Care and TRC, you will work closely with our community development team and criminal justice teams to ensure survivors have access to the right support.

Community Development Co-Ordinator

You’ll play a key role in delivering our community support activities to male survivors of sexual harms, working directly alongside our other services (including, therapy, ISVA, OUT Side OUT Spoken, OUT Spoken) to ensure that our clients receive quality assured care for their needs. You will also support our volunteer workforce and the provision of various advocacy requirements to survivors and their supporters.

Nightingale Navigator

You’ll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications and working in partnership with all Nightingale Project members. You will work closely with our Independent Sexual Violence Advisors, Community Development Co-Ordinator’s to provide support at different parts of a victims Criminal Justice journey, as well as supporting the development and delivery of community-based interventions for their families and loved ones.

Therapy Services Manager

You’ll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications, supporting volunteers/placements. You will work closely with our community development team and criminal justice teams to ensure survivors have access to the right support.
