Ambition 2030

05.02.26 | News

“Hi, I’m Duncan. I’m the Founder and Chief Executive of We Are Survivors. 17 years old today. My boy is 17, and I am so proud to be able to launch this, our brand new strategy, Ambition 2030. I have spent the last three or four months talking with staff, with stakeholders, with our board, and most importantly, with survivors, asking them what are they going to be expecting from us between now and the next four or five years or so. This is it. It’s not complicated. It’s pretty easy. It’s pretty simple. And we’ve got three key strategic goals. The first goal is that we want to strengthen our offer. We want to make sure that we are absolutely living by the the idea that no male survivor is left behind.

The second strategic goal is that we want to make sure that we are amplifying male survivor’s voices. Our Loud Voices Project, you’re going to hear and see more of. But we want to make sure that when we are speaking to decision makers, to MPs, to people who can change the law that we’re using your voice, that we’re taking your words, and on behalf of you many of the male survivors, we are standing up for you.

The third strategic goal is that we want to progress understanding. What does that mean? Well, we have been going now for 17 years and we have so much knowledge, data, and we want to share it. We want to make sure that every part of society understands what male survivors need, what male survivors want, and what’s the best thing for male survivors in their healing journey. So I hope that you’re able to come on the next part of our journey with us between now and 2030 with this, Ambition 2030, officially launched today, our 17th birthday.

Happy Birthday, Son.” – Duncan Craig OBE
