In 2020, we were thrilled to be awarded Project of the Year at the inaugural National Men and Boys Awards for our charity’s groundbreaking work related to the Reynhard Sinaga case. This recognition served as a significant milestone for our organisation, and highlighted the vital impact of our initiatives in supporting male survivors of sexual harm.
The Men and Boys Coalition established these awards to honour outstanding achievements in providing care, compassion, and social change for men and boys. Our project not only addressed the immediate needs of survivors but also aimed to raise awareness about the complexities of sexual abuse against men. Through our advocacy and support programs, we gave a voice to those affected by the Sinaga case, fostering open discussions and encouraging survivors to share their experiences without fear of stigma.
This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the courage of the survivors we serve. We are grateful for this recognition, which reinforces our commitment to advocating for male survivors and ensuring their stories are heard and respected. Together, we continue to strive for a society that is compassionate and supportive, paving the way for healing and understanding in the face of adversity.
