Being A Man Festival

We Are Survivors was proud to produce and host a live event for the Being A Man Festival at London’s Southbank Centre.

The event, Breaking The Silence – Rape on Hollyoaks, was hosted by our Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Duncan Craig, and featured the showing of a specially edited cut of the John Paul rape storyline, followed by a Q&A with:

• James Sutton, actor and ‘John Paul McQueen’ in Hollyoaks
• Bryan Kirkwood, Executive Producer of Hollyoaks
• Lee Mason, Drama Commissioning Editor for Channel 4
• Dr Joanna Jamel, Senior Lecturer in Criminology at Kingston University

The event was a sell out with fans, academics, film makers and interested parties all wanting to hear what the panel had to say
