We are excited to see The Centre for Policy Research on Men and Boys’ new 100 Champions for Men and Boys list. This follows 2025, that has seen men and boys’ health enter the mainstream conversation, whether that be in the policymaking world with the Men’s Health Strategy, or across the board with Netflix’s Adolescence mini-series.
In this list are a few recognisable names…
Our Duncan Craig OBE has been celebrated in continuing to break the silence on male sexual harms in his role as CEO at We Are Survivors. He has been acknowledged for helping our organisation to make better use of our knowledge to influence policymakers as well as local and national government.
A few of our allies have also been named as Champions…
Jamie Dennis, as CEO of Mandem Meetup, has seen his organisation rocket to supporting 1,200 men across Greater Manchester, in organising talking circles, a range of outdoor activities, in addition to providing specialised support for men in prison.
Professor David Gadd has been named for his research with the University of Manchester, whose impact includes an increase in understanding around vulnerable mens’ experiences in the prison estate.
Ally Fogg, who is a writer and Chair of the Association for Male Health and Wellbeing, has written extensively on men’s physical and mental health, bringing to light the hidden barriers faced by men and boys in disclosing abuse.
